Arsenal have just received a laughable bid for Ethan Nwaneri and Andrea Berta has rightly rejected it

Ethan Nwaneri’s future at Arsenal continues to remain uncertain despite his impressive pre-season performances.
The Gunners’ academy graduate has always been viewed as an incredible talent, and the fact that he is still only 19 means he has all the time in the world to fulfil his massive potential.
Nwaneri was outstanding in the second half against Borussia Dortmund and then against Como, and he has done all he can to convince Mikel Arteta to keep him.
That, however, hasn’t stopped clubs from making a move to sign him, and an offer has now arrived from AC Milan.
AC Milan’s offer to sign Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal is laughable
Ethan Nwaneri is one of the best young players in the world.
Yes, the 19-year-old has had a difficult last 12 months, but his talent is unquestionable, and his performances in the last two pre-season games prove that.
However, Arsenal are stacked in midfield and on the right wing, so if a good enough offer arrives, you could justify letting him go.
But the first bid that has come in from AC Milan is laughable.

Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that Ruben Amorim’s side are interested in Nwaneri and have tabled a loan offer with an option to make that permanent for €40 million (£34m).
That is a disgraceful bid for a player who has the potential to become one of the best attacking midfielders in the world in a few years’ time.
Andrea Berta has rightly rejected that offer – any other response would’ve faced immense backlash from Arsenal supporters.
It now remains to be seen what will happen with Nwaneri in the final two weeks of the window.
Mikel Arteta has hinted that Ethan Nwaneri could leave Arsenal
As we mentioned earlier, there really isn’t enough room for Nwaneri to get regular minutes at Arsenal.
Martin Odegaard, Eberechi Eze and Kai Havertz are all ahead of him in midfield, while Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and now Max Dowman have been preferred over him on the right wing.
Mikel Arteta has claimed that he wants to keep Nwaneri, but the Arsenal manager also conceded that a lack of game time would benefit nobody.
He said: “I want him to be at the club. But we have to consider, in the medium and long term, what is best for the player as well.
“Ethan needs to play football. And if he stays here, it is because we can guarantee him that he can have those minutes. Otherwise, it’s just something that is not good for anybody, I think.”
