Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard continued his bright form with an impressive performance for Norway in their Nations League opener against Denmark on Thursday night.
The 27-year-old had a fine World Cup for his country, with four assists, and has carried that form to the Gunners this season, scoring four goals in just eight appearances.

The playmaker had 107 touches in the game with 91 percent passes completed. He also made seven recoveries and won two duels as Norway clinched a 3-2 victory on home turf.
Odegaard back to his best after injury troubles
The Norwegian had a tough 2025/26 season for club and country. He picked up multiple injuries during the campaign and struggled to find consistency with his performances.
Odegaard still managed nine goal contributions for the Gunners, including a crucial assist for Leandro Trossard’s goal at West Ham United, which tilted the league title race in the club’s favour.
The £30 million signing now looks back to his best for club and country after his injury woes. He has six assists from his last six appearances for Norway, and he is undoubtedly enjoying his football.
Norway have three more Nations League matches against Portugal (twice) and Wales during the international break. Arsenal fans will hope that Odegaard gets some minutes off.
He played the entire 90 minutes against Denmark yesterday. Odegaard will start every game, but hopefully, head coach Stale Solbakken substitutes him at some stage in those matches.
Arsenal will surely contact Solbakken about their captain’s workload, in our view.
