football.London will be all over Arsenal's business on the most chaotic day of the football calendar. Last night, Arsenal made it two Premier League wins out of two with a narrow 1-0 away victory over Aston Villa.
Bukayo Saka grabbed the goal to help the north Londoners secure a narrow victory over Arsenal's former boss Unai Emery. However, there are still transfer battles to be won for the defending Premier League champions.

Atletico Madrid are on the verge of signing striker Jonathan David - but this is not expected to affect Julian Alvarez's future. The Argentine is yet to offer an indication he wants to move to the Gunners.
However, it does appear Atletico will have ample cover if he does leave, as David is set to arrive at the Wanda Metropolitano. He will arrive on loan according to Fabrizio Romano.
It remains to be seen if this may impact Alvarez's future at the club. All will be revealed within the next 14-hour period.

Yesterday, reports claimed Arsenal were offered the chance to sign Malick Fofana by Lyon. The 21-year-old is a left-winger, which Arsenal are looking to add to their squad.
He perhaps does not fit the category of marquee forward signing who would have been ushered in the same breath as previous trargets Vinicius Junior and Morgan Rogers.
Arsenal view Eli Junior Kroupi as a long-term attacking target - but a Transfer Deadline Day move is unlikely.
Football.London reported the initial interest in the 20-year-old all the way back in May. However, he has since undergone surgery for a fractured metatarsal which he is yet to recover from.
But according to Caught Offside, Arsenal's interest remains and they are planning to have another look at him in the future.

Eberechi Eze changed the game for Arsenal when he came on for Christos Tzolis at left-wing. It suggested the Gunners will have enough cover for the left-wing position if no new signing arrived.
Mikel Arteta praised the Englishman's display, saying: "To trust him, and we knew that he could create an action, he created three actions, that he put people almost looking at the goalkeeper, one against one.
"But, as well, I had to trust him when he made those rotations, especially on the right side, and Cash’s goal. Last year, he lost him; we conceded a goal.
"And this year, I think he learned his lesson, because every time something was happening, he was at it, and I think he helped the team in every way.”

Mikel Arteta made it clear Arsenal will be focussing on signing a new attacker on Transfer Deadline Day. After insulating himself to be fully focussed on the match, the Gunners' boss said he will have his eye on the transfer window.
After the win over Villa, he said: "As I said, we are trying to improve the squad, and until tomorrow night we're going to try to do that. I've been disconnected from the world for 24 hours, because I think my energy and focus has to be on the match, and I will get back on it now.”

After the best part of two and a half months, the summer transfer window will close tonight. There is not long left to wrap up any late deals, but it looks set to be another busy day for the Gunners.
There have already been many big deals, but the marquee attacking signing Mikel Arteta has craved is still yet to arrive. Maybe, just maybe, it will be wrapped up before 11pm tonight.
