Arsenal's October match dates confirmed as fixture list starts to take shape

After starting the season with success in the FA Community Shield, demolishing Manchester City 3-0 at the Millennium Stadium, Arsenal fans cannot wait for the Premier League to return. Mikel Arteta's team will commence their title defence on Friday night when Coventry City visit North London.

All August and September fixtures were already set in stone but, on Monday afternoon, the Premier League confirmed when the Gunners' four October fixtures will be.

Following the new-look elongated, fortnight long international break, Arsenal will welcome Leeds United to the Emirates on Saturday 10 October. The match will kick off at 12:30pm in the UK and is live on TNT Sports.

The following weekend, Arteta's team will travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest. This fixture has been moved to Sunday 18 October with a 4:30pm kick off, live on Sky Sports.

After that, Everton will return to North London on Saturday 24 October for a 3pm kick off. Due to blackout rules, this match will not be broadcast live in the UK. The Toffees visit last season was one of the highlights of the title winning campaign, as late goals from Viktor Gyökeres and then Max Dowman secured a famous win.

Lastly, on Sunday 1 November, Arsenal will take on Liverpool at Anfield, live on Sky Sports with a 4:30pm kick off. Arteta will be hoping to lead the Gunners to a first win at Anfield since 2012, with Arsenal failing in 16 attempts since goals from Santi Cazorla and Łukas Podolski secured a 2-0 win.
