Only two players have played for Arsenal and Napoli
In the Champions League this year, Arsenal comes up against Napoli. It is not their first time facing the Italian team, and it surely won't be the last.
Arsenal and Napoli have faced each other in the Champions League, Europa League and even the Emirates Cup. However, unlike most European clubs, there is a bizarre lack of players who have represented both esteemed teams.
In fact, only two players have played for Arsenal and Napoli in their histories. Those two players are Jorginho and David Ospina.

Jorginho is one of the most underrated midfielders of all time, and he enjoyed a great time at both Arsenal and Napoli.
Admittedly, he is more widely recognised for playing at Napoli. In fact, it is in Naples that the European champion entered the mainstream consciousness, helped massively by his impressive breakthrough at Hellas Verona, of course.
Jorginho spent close to half a decade at Napoli, during one of the club's most exciting periods. They were known for fostering many young players who went on to dominate Europe, with Jorginho being one of them.
At Arsenal, Jorginho brought his incredible experience and composure to the midfield. He didn't win any major honours during his short time, but he was pivotal to Arsenal in their rebirth.
A transfer that was slated very quickly became vindicated. Now, every Arsenal fan will remember Jorginho fondly.
Years at Napoli: 2018–2019 (loan), 2019-2022

David Ospina was hardly a mainstay with Arsenal, but he did produce some good moments. He was mostly known as a cup goalkeeper, which isn't an insult considering Arsenal dominated the FA Cup during his reign.
In his earlier years with Arsenal, Ospina primarily played second fiddle to Wojciech Szczęsny, and he was also around during Petr Čech's stay in North London. He enjoyed a much more fruitful time at Napoli, quickly establishing himself as a starter under Carlo Ancelotti.
When Alex Meret returned from his injury, the two Napoli goalkeepers rotated, but the Italian side were more than vindicated for their decision to bring the Colombian shot-stopper in.
With great distribution and flexibility, Ospina won't be remembered in the history books, but when his name is mentioned, you'll hear fans say, "Oh, Ospina. Reliable guy." In many ways, you can't ask for much more as a goalkeeper.
