Inter Milan stance on signing Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli revealed

Inter Milan have no plans to pursue a deal for Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli before the transfer deadline, according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
The Brazil international has been transfer-listed by the Gunners, and he was recently excluded from the matchday squad for the Community Shield win over Manchester City.
Martinelli has already turned down a move to Galatasaray after a £38.4 million offer, and it recently emerged that the Nerazzurri are preparing to swoop for his services.
However, Pedulla has now dismissed this, claiming Napoli are the only Italian club to have enquired about Martinelli. In Inter’s case, no proposal has been made for the Brazilian.
The Serie A giants are focused on offloading players and are looking for potential opportunistic signings. Martinelli is not among them, and that possibility can be ruled out.
Arsenal yet to find suitable club for Martinelli
The 25-year-old had a mixed 2025/26 season with the Gunners. He made 18 goal contributions in all competitions, but was brilliant in the Champions League with eight goal involvements.
However, his impact in the Premier League was limited. He mustered only one goal and four assists as he played second fiddle to Leandro Trossard on the left wing.
Still, the club’s faithful will remember his contribution to the title triumph as his league goal was a dramatic late equaliser against Manchester City in September.
As things stand, Martinelli is behind Tzolis in the pecking order after the Greek’s bright pre-season. He made a statement on his club debut with two assists against the Cityzens.
Arsenal are still keen on landing a marquee forward, potentially a promising left winger such as Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz, but this could largely depend on Martinelli moving on.
It remains to be seen whether Napoli make a formal offer for him. A player-plus-cash deal could be negotiated with Juventus, but the Bianconeri are reluctant to sell Yildiz for now.
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal are weighing up a move for Martinelli, but we don’t see him moving that route, having snubbed a switch to Galatasaray to play for an elite European side.
