Viktor Gyokeres says surprise teammate is actually Arsenal's most skilful player

Arsenal are the most complete team in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta has built an unbelievable squad over the years, with the Gunners boasting at least two top-class options in almost every single position.

Arsenal have players who are technical, physical, skilful and versatile, which makes them incredibly strong in every department.

But who is the most skilful of them all?

Arsenal have several incredibly skilful players in their squad.

Martin Odegaard is right up there thanks to his ability on the ball, while Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze are full of tricks as well.

If you asked an Arsenal fan on the street to pick the most skilful player at the club, we are certain most people would choose one of those three players.

However, Viktor Gyokeres, surprisingly, believes it’s 16-year-old Max Dowman.

Don’t get us wrong, we are not doubting the teenager’s skills here, but to say a player so young is more skilful than anyone else in the entire squad caught us by surprise.

In a video on the Premier League’s social channels, Gyokeres was asked to name Arsenal’s most skilful player.

He replied: “Max Dowman!”

When asked if the youngster is one for the future, Gyokeres said: “Or now!”

Max Dowman is likely to get his chance at Arsenal soon

Dowman is yet to play a single minute of football for Arsenal this season.

The academy graduate has been an unused substitute in four of the Gunners’ first five games of the season, while he was left out of the squad completely for the game against Aston Villa.

That is slightly disappointing, but Dowman is likely to get his first minutes of the season when Arsenal take on Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Arteta is expected to make plenty of changes for that game, and Dowman should start – either on the right wing or in attacking midfield.
