Julian Alvarez has 'exploded with anger' after seeing what Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have now done

The Julian Alvarez transfer saga is set to dominate the final days of the summer transfer window.

It has been clear for a long time now that the World Cup winner wants to leave Atletico Madrid, with Arsenal and Barcelona heavily linked with a move to sign him.

Alvarez has been clear that his dream destination is the Camp Nou, but Atleti have been adamant that they will not sell him to the Catalans.

Now, the Madrid club have done something that has really annoyed Alvarez.

Julian Alvarez is so angry after Atletico Madrid agree to sell him to Arsenal

Julian Alvarez and Atletico Madrid are not on good terms anymore.

The Rojiblancos have claimed publicly and privately that they want to keep the Argentine, and they have been more adamant that there’s no way he will join Barcelona.

That alone has annoyed Alvarez, but what has now happened has made him furious.

Mendoza Post in Spain have revealed that Atletico Madrid have made a U-turn on their stance about letting him go and have agreed to sell him to Arsenal.

When Alvarez heard that, he is said to have ‘exploded with anger’ for two reasons.

The first is that he simply does not want to return to England and play in the Premier League again. Secondly, he believes Atleti are blocking his move to Barcelona purely out of ‘spite’.

Alvarez’s dream is clear – he wants to play for Barcelona. Whether Atletico Madrid will allow that to happen later in the window remains to be seen.

Arsenal should just give up on Julian Alvarez unless he shows real desire to join them

Alvarez doesn’t seem to be willing to accept anything other than a move to Barcelona.

Following in the footsteps of his legendary compatriot Lionel Messi must be a dream for the Argentine striker, so you can’t really blame him for pushing for that move.

However, if you’re Arsenal, you should just walk away.

There’s no point signing a player who doesn’t want to come – it almost never ends well, and it’s just not worth the risk when you consider the finances involved.

Unless Alvarez makes it clear that he is fully open to joining Arsenal, the Gunners should not make their move.
