Reiss Nelson has found his new team after being released by Arsenal
Reiss Nelson appears to have found his next club.
The 26-year-old was released from Arsenal last week, ending an 18-year association with the club.
Nelson joined the Gunners as an eight-year-old in 2008, came through the Hale End academy and made his senior debut under Arsene Wenger in August 2017.
He showed enough early promise to suggest he could become a future superstar for the first-team. For a lot of fans he was the guy who restarted the hype around Arsenal’s academy.
Unfortunately, it never quite worked out, despite some obviously special moments. No one will ever forget that winner against Bournemouth, even if it didn’t quite turn out the way we thought it was going to.

Loan spells have come and gone for Nelson, some more successful than others, but it was clear this season it was time to move on permanently.
Arsenal struggled to find a suitor for the winger, with his £100,000-a-week wages being a clear stumbling block.
After mutually terminating his contract with the club, he was free to find his next destination, and he’s found it in no time.
Reiss Nelson looks to be returning to Feyenoord
Indeed, it seems Nelson is returning to a familiar environment.
As per transfer journalist Mounir Boualin, the former Arsenal winger has arrived at Rotterdam Airport to complete a move to Feyenoord.
He previously spent the 2021-22 season at Feyenoord, where he was a key player in the side that reached the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League Final under Arne Slot.
After a slow start plagued by fitness issues, Nelson finished that season with four goals and seven assists in 32 appearances across all competitions, becoming a bit of a fan favourite at the Eredivisie club.
He was particularly impactful in Europe during that run, starting key knockout ties against Partizan Belgrade, Slavia Prague, and Marseille.
Hopefully, he can find that sort of form again by getting past the injuries and showing his quality.
