Bukayo Saka finally listened to what Thierry Henry told him three years ago after scoring vs Aston Villa
Bukayo Saka was the match-winner for Arsenal against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
The Gunners didn’t look like their usual selves at Villa Park and were particularly poor in the first half of the game tonight.
Things slightly improved after Mikel Arteta’s team talk at half-time, and Saka’s goal just before the hour mark sealed the game.
What the Arsenal number seven did immediately after reminded us of Thierry Henry’s advice from over three years ago.

Bukayo Saka is one of the nicest people in football.
The Englishman almost always has a smile on his face, is very respectful to people and doesn’t really have a nasty edge to his game.
That was something Henry wanted changed back in 2023.
The Arsenal legend advised Saka that he cannot always be nice and be a big player; he has to be the opposite at times.
“I said it the other day: “Big players are not nice. If you wanna be big, if you wanna be the guy… big players are not nice,” Henry said, as per The Daily Mail.
Saka seemed to have listened to that now.
After scoring the winner against Aston Villa, the Arsenal star ran towards the away end and slid on his knees in celebration.
Then, he got up and pointed to the gold Premier League badge on his shirt, which indicates that Arsenal are the reigning champions.
That is a bit uncharacteristic when you think of Saka. This shows a bit of arrogance, but in a good way, which is something Henry possessed when he was a world-class player many years ago.
This slight change in Saka may well have been influenced by the legendary Frenchman, and it has come out a few times since Arsenal were crowned champions.
The Hale End graduate mocked all the doubters after the Gunners won the league with videos alongside Myles Lewis-Skelly, Jurrien Timber and others.
He also said on Men in Blazers: “There’s been so many jokes, so much banter, but now, it’s our time to talk!”
Saka definitely did the talking on the pitch at Villa Park tonight.
