Mikel Arteta responds to question about Myles Lewis-Skelly's future immediately after Arsenal vs Como

Myles Lewis-Skelly’s Arsenal future has been heavily discussed this week.
The teenager had a phenomenal end to the 2025/26 campaign, and he has had a fine pre-season in the middle of the park as well.
That led to a strong belief that he will stay at Arsenal, but reports have claimed that Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Chelsea and Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta has now had his say on those rumours.
Mikel Arteta issues verdict on Myles Lewis-Skelly’s Arsenal future
It is no surprise at all that Myles Lewis-Skelly is wanted by big clubs in England.
The 19-year-old is among the best players of his age in Europe, and he has already produced some huge performances against massive teams in his career.
Arsenal fans are desperate for Lewis-Skelly to stay, but there has been a lot of speculation about his future over the last 36 hours.
Even during the game against Como, Arsenal supporters were divided by Lewis-Skelly’s celebration. Some felt it was an apology for all the rumours, while others assumed it was a goodbye.

Unsurprisingly, Arteta was quizzed about the youngster’s future after the game, and the Arsenal boss refused to rule out a move.
Instead, he claimed that rumours about his players are a positive.
Arteta said, as per The Sun’s Joshua Hall: “I don’t want to talk about any speculation for our players. If there is any speculation, that is a good thing. It means they are doing a good thing.”
If you’re an Arsenal fan, that is not reassuring at all.
