Olivia Smith wins Women’s PFA Young Player of the Year

Arsenal winger Olivia Smith has been voted as the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year for 2025-26 for her performances for Arsenal. It means the 22-year-old retains the award, having won it for her performances for Liverpool in the 2024-25 season.

Smith joined the Gunners from Liverpool for £1m last summer and made an immediate impression, scoring Arsenal’s opening WSL goal of the season against London City Lionesses.

Smith finished the campaign with five goals and three assists in the WSL as well as three goals in the Champions League. Smith beat off competition from Laura Blinkilde-Brown (Manchester City), Veerle Buurman (Chelsea), Freya Godfrey (London City Lionesses), Toko Koga (Tottenham Hotspur) and Alyssa Thompson (Chelsea).
