Arsenal would've made move for £111m player this summer but he suddenly got injured

Arsenal have still not strengthened their forward areas as well as they should.
Yes, Christos Tzolis has arrived from Club Brugge, and he looks like a fantastic signing on the left wing. However, he is only replacing Leandro Trossard after he was sold to Besiktas.
Arsenal could also do with a new centre-forward, and Julian Alvarez is clearly the main target right now.
However, the Gunners had another name on their shortlist for this window, but that move has temporarily been shelved.
Arsenal would’ve probably bid for Eli Kroupi Junior if he wasn’t injured
Eli Kroupi Junior was one of the rising stars in the Premier League last season.
The 20-year-old was far from being a common name when he joined Bournemouth, but he quickly became a fan favourite at the Vitality.
Kroupi scored 13 goals in 21 league starts last season, including big strikes at home and away against Arsenal and Manchester United. He even scored the goal that won the Gunners the title against Manchester City.
Before the season even ended, everyone expected the Frenchman to be on the move, and among other clubs, Arsenal showed interest in signing Kroupi.
The Independent have now claimed that the Gunners would’ve probably made a move for the talented attacker, who Bournemouth value at a whopping £111 million.
However, Kroupi suffered an injury in training last month, and he is set for a spell of three to four months on the sidelines.
That has ruined what could’ve been a potential option for Arsenal.

Arsenal could revisit a move for Eli Junior Kroupi in January
There is no guarantee that Arsenal will sign a forward before the transfer window shuts.
Julian Alvarez would be brilliant, but he is holding out for Barcelona, while Gabriel Jesus has not yet agreed to leave the club, despite interest from Napoli.
If Arsenal fail to land a new striker now, they will have another look in January, and The Independent claim that Kroupi could once again be an option then.
The 20-year-old will be back from his injury by then, and there is every chance he will be on the move at that time.
It will be interesting to see how things unfold at Arsenal, but we think Kroupi would be an excellent signing for the present and future.
