Chelsea Set To Launch Fresh January Bid For Bournemouth Midfielder Alex Scott

Chelsea are preparing to reignite their pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott when the January transfer window opens.
The Blues have been monitoring the 23-year-old for an extended period, with their interest becoming widely known during the summer window.
Chelsea made multiple approaches for Scott during the summer but were repeatedly rebuffed by a Bournemouth side determined to hold onto their prized asset.
The Cherries resisted every advance and made it clear they had no intention of selling the midfielder despite Chelsea’s persistent pursuit.
According to Football Insider, Chelsea scouts will now watch Scott closely every week between now and the reopening of the transfer window in January.
Mick Brown said: “Chelsea now want him, but after they couldn’t get a deal done, I expect they will have scouts keeping a very close eye on him every week until the January window opens.”
Brown also highlighted the clear need Chelsea have for midfield reinforcement, pointing to a significant recent departure from the club.
Brown added: “They still need a new midfielder because they’ve lost Fernandez, that’s not going to change between now and January, it’ll just be about how Bournemouth feel.”
Enzo Fernandez has departed Chelsea for Manchester City, leaving a prominent gap in the middle of the park that the club are eager to address.
Scott has consistently demonstrated his quality in the Premier League with Bournemouth and is widely regarded as a player capable of stepping up to a bigger club.
Brown remained cautious about whether a January deal could actually be completed, given Bournemouth’s firm stance earlier this year.
Brown continued: “Obviously a lot has to happen between now and then, but I can’t see Bournemouth being keen for him to move on after they worked hard to keep him in the summer.”
He added: “I expect Chelsea to return in January, but it might be something they have to wait until next summer for before they can get it done.”
Chelsea are determined to strengthen their midfield options, and the 23-year-old Englishman fits the profile they are searching for precisely.
Scott offers control, composure, and energy in central areas, qualities that Chelsea believe could make a significant difference to their squad.
Whether Bournemouth are willing to sanction a mid-season departure remains the central question as the January window draws closer.
