Confirmed: Mylo Bernard joins Arsenal from Crystal Palace

Mylo Bernard has completed his move to Arsenal, his agency New Vision Football have confirmed.

The striker joins Arsenal from Crystal Palace’s academy and will initially be a first year scholar. Arsenal have confirmed that he will sign professional terms when he turns 17 next year.

Bernard, 16, has frequently impressed for Palace at U18 level and has also been capped by England at the U16 age group.

The deal took some time to be formally ratified by the FA but is now complete, although Arsenal have yet to announce it.

Arsenal are also expected to finalise the signing of forward Vincent Joseph from Liverpool in the near future.

The Gunners signed Elijah Upson, James Scanlon, Habeeb Ogunneye and Igor Tyjon for their U21 squad during a busy summer transfer window, while Axel Donczew arrived at U18 level with goalkeeper Phoenix Blayney signing a pre-contract agreement ahead of joining as a scholar next year.

Arsenal are also expected to secure the signing of midfielder Andria Bartishvili.
