How much money Arsenal will now get as Folarin Balogun ‘agrees’ to sign for Everton

Arsenal have let a number of young players go in recent years and they could now be about to benefit financially from one of those sales.
The Gunners have been criticised in recent years for failing to get good money for a lot of players.
However, the upcoming sale of Gabriel Martinelli will see the club land around £60m, while Gabriel Jesus is also going to bring in north of £10m.
Furthermore, Arsenal also sold young players like Emile Smith Rowe and Folarin Balogun and in doing so, inserted useful sell-on clauses.
Now, it appears former striker Balogun is going to trigger one of those clauses.
Folarin Balogun agrees to sign for Everton for £18m
Arsenal sold Balogun to Monaco for north of £30m and after an impressive World Cup with the USA, any further sale should have been for an even bigger amount.

However, according to Sacha Tavolieri, Everton have now made a move for Balogun and the fee seems small.
The Toffees are looking to tie up a deal for Balogun for £18m, and given Arsenal inserted a 17.5% sell-on clause when they did move him on, it means around £3m is due to the Gunners.

For Arsenal fans the Gunners board, this sale will feel a touch disappointing really.
Balogun appears to have improved since leaving Arsenal and in the current market, £18m is not a very big fee at all for an international striker.
Still, it’s more funds for the pot and given the sales in recent weeks and the push for a new forward before the deadline, every little helps.
All eyes now, though, are on Andrea Berta and whether he can do that one final piece of business.
