Confirmed: Josh Smith named interim head coach of Arsenal U18s

Arsenal have revealed that Josh Smith is currently the interim head coach of the U18 team.

Smith had previously been working as an assistant to Adam Birchall alongside Adam Pilling since November 2024. He also briefly worked under Jack Wilshere with the U18s.

Prior to that Smith coached younger age groups at Arsenal and was previously a youth coach at Tottenham.

It is unclear whether Birchall, who missed much of last season due to illness, is still working at the club.

Smith was in charge as Arsenal U18s drew 3-3 with Blackburn in the Premier League Cup today.
