Arsenal’s best chance at getting big money for Gabriel Martinelli has just presented itself

Gabriel Martinelli’s Arsenal future remains up in the air a bit at the moment.
Martinelli has been linked with an exit all summer and his omission from the matchday squad during the Community Shield win over Man City has only fuelled the fire.
A number of clubs are keen on the Brazilian but so far, nobody has met Arsenal’s valuation. Further, Martinelli has outright turned down a move to Turkey.
However, all is not lost for Arsenal and if the latest rumoured interest is true, then it might be the time to push hard to get a deal done.

Qatari interest in Gabriel Martinelli is just what Arsenal needed
We’ve written plenty of times about how Arsenal needs to be better at getting good money for its players.
That remains true, and if Martinelli is to leave this summer, it’s vital he exits having brought Arsenal a substantial fee in for him.
Now, according to widespread reports emanating from the Middle East, Qatar’s most successful club, Al-Sadd, are keen on Martinelli.
A crucial detail in these reports is the suggestion that they could be willing to pay around £50m for the forward.
That is the sort of money Andrea Berta is trying to attain for the Brazilian, while for Arsenal fans it would represent the sort of fee expected too.
Indeed, should Martinelli go for £50m, he’d become the most expensive sale in Arsenal’s history, which remarkably is still with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
If Arsenal are serious about selling Martinelli and replacing him, then it’s time to really engage with the Qataris and get the big money the club deserves.
