Why Myles Lewis-Skelly has been left out of Arsenal's 22-man Champions League squad

Arsenal kick-start their Champions League journey against Napoli on Wednesday, and they had to submit their A-list squad a week before.
Mikel Arteta has named a 22-man squad, but there are a few notable absentees, including Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Why Myles Lewis-Skelly is not in Arsenal’s 22-man Champions League squad
Lewis-Skelly has become a very important player for Arsenal.
At one point last season, it looked like the teenager had no place at the club and would be sold. However, everything changed thanks to his performances in midfield.
Lewis-Skelly stayed at Arsenal despite huge speculation, and he has started the season really well in the middle of the park.
That is why some fans were perplexed to see the youngster not included in the official 22-man squad Arsenal submitted to UEFA for the Champions League.

UEFA allows teams to name players who were born on or after the 1st of January 2005 and have been eligible to play for the club for two consecutive years since their 15th birthday in their List B. The deadline for that is the night before the opening European game.
Lewis-Skelly, who was born in September 2006, is eligible to be named in that list, which is why he has not been included in the A list.
The same applies to young Marli Salmon and Max Dowman, who are both younger than Lewis-Skelly. All three teenagers will certainly feature in the List B.
