Like they have done all summer, the Rojiblancos have once again made it clear that they will not sell Alvarez to Barcelona, citing that this isn’t about money but dignity.

The statement read, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano on X: “The player is being victimised, but the only victim of the Julian case is us. They have harmed us economically and socially.

“There’s a campaign with many lies and half-truths. The only one who pays for this is Atletico.”

Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez stance gives Arsenal a huge boost
Atletico Madrid’s official statement on Alvarez must be music to Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta’s ears.
