Theo Julienne and Josh Ogunnaike feature as Arsenal draw with Como

Academy players Theo Julienne and Josh Ogunnaike both featured as Arsenal drew 1-1 with Como at Emirates Stadium in their final first-team friendly of pre-season.

Julienne started the game at right-back, with Marli Salmon and Max Dowman also called upon from the outset.

The youngster played 62 minutes and generally gave a good account of himself as he showcased his technical ability, although there were some occasions when he pushed too far forwards.

Ogunnaike was brought on in the closing stages as he replaced Salmon at centre-back.

It has been an excellent pre-season in terms of experience for Julienne and Ogunnaike who have featured in numerous games having impressed for the U21s in the second half of last season.

Arsenal took the lead through Myles Lewis-Skelly before Martin Baturina equalised.

The Gunners then won the penalty shootout 4-3 with Christos Tzolis scoring the decisive spot-kick.
