Barcelona will be aiming to make it six straight wins in all competitions at the start of the 2026-27 campaign when they continue their La Liga season against Levante on Sunday afternoon.

Hansi Flick's team have not missed a step early in the campaign, posting five straight wins, including four in the league, which has left them at the top of the La Liga table.

Levante are the latest team tasked with overcoming a Barcelona outfit that have simply been flying in the early stages of the 2026-27 campaign.

The Frogs have made a relatively solid start to the season, picking up five points from four matches, which has left them in 11th spot in the division ahead of the next set of fixtures.

Luis Castro's side opened their 2026-27 season with a 3-0 defeat to Espanyol, before picking up their first point of the campaign away to Osasuna on August 24.

Levante then picked up their first win of the campaign, and it was a highly impressive one, beating Real Betis 5-2, before drawing 0-0 with Malaga last time out.

The Frogs, who finished 16th in Spain's top flight last season, have only won six of their previous 47 matches against Barcelona in all competitions, and each of the last four meetings between the two sides have been won by Barcelona.

That said, two of the last four league meetings have been close - 3-2 to Barcelona - while it was 3-3 when the pair locked horns at the home of Levante in May 2021.

All six of Barcelona's losses to Levante have come away from home, but the Catalan outfit will arrive on Sunday full of confidence given their stunning start to the campaign.

Flick's side started their Champions League league phase campaign on Wednesday evening, recording a 5-1 victory over Feyenoord, and the reigning Spanish champions have now netted 22 times across their five matches in all competitions this season.

In La Liga, Barcelona have beaten Elche 5-0, Athletic Bilbao 2-0, Rayo Vallecano 5-2 and Valencia 5-0, with the team quite incredible in the final third of the field.

The Catalan outfit top the division with 12 points from an available 12, and they will now be aiming to make it three more league successes over Levante, Racing de Santander and Sevilla before the first international break of the campaign.

Levante will need to make a late check on Karl Etta Eyong, but the home side are otherwise in strong shape for their clash with the champions this weekend.

There are not expected to be any major surprises in the Levante side against Barcelona, with Roger Brugue, who has scored twice in three appearances this season, set to operate down the right.

Ivan Romero is still waiting for his first goal of the campaign but should continue in the final third of the field, while Enzo Bardeli will also be a notable starter.

As for Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong (knee) and Roony Bardghji (knee) are out of the match, but Eric Garcia is expected to be cleared to feature in a mask, following the facial injury that he sustained against Valencia in the league last time out.

Flick is expected to make changes from the side that started against Feyenoord in the Champions League due to the embarrassment of riches available to him.

Eric Garcia, Gerard Martin, Xavi Espart, Fermin Lopez and Anthony Gordon could all be introduced into the side, while there will be starts for Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

It is incredibly difficult to back against Barcelona at this moment in time; Levante have the tools to hurt the champions, and we are backing the hosts to score, but it would be a shock if Flick's team were unable to secure all three points.
