Player ratings: Arsenal 3-0 Coventry City

Arsenal opened the Premier League campaign with a convincing and comfortable 3-0 win over Coventry City on Friday night.

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice came into the team that had overcome Manchester City in the Community Shield the previous week.

Kai Havertz, Saka and Martin Odegaard put Arsenal three goals ahead within the first 50 minutes and then the Gunners cruised to victory and a clean sheet.

Man of the match: Lots of 8/10s, pretty much all around – so picking out one is difficult. I will go for Tzolis though. His performance was really encouraging again and he was very unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. He created a tonne of chances and showed brilliant close control.
