Mikel Arteta made a prediction about Christos Tzolis in pre-season and it has already come true

Christos Tzolis has become the talk of the town since Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Coventry City.
The Greek international impressed throughout pre-season, and his performance in the Community Shield win over Manchester City was very good as well.
However, against Coventry on the opening day of the new Premier League season, Tzolis was one of the best players on the pitch.
That performance reminded us of what Mikel Arteta said about him earlier this summer.
Mikel Arteta’s Christos Tzolis prediction has come true
Not many Arsenal fans had really heard of Christos Tzolis when the Gunners were first linked with a move to sign him.
The winger’s numbers in the Belgian top-flight impressed everyone, but people were still unsure about how he would fare in the Premier League.
Arteta, however, was adamant that he had signed a great player, and he even made a prediction early on in pre-season.
The Arsenal manager claimed that fans would fall in love with Tzolis and even compared him to the player he replaced on the left wing, Leandro Trossard.

He said in July: “With Christos, especially with the departure of Leo, I would take the opportunity to thank him for an incredible journey together, moments we have shared together, and his contribution to the team and the club that has been extraordinary.
“A player really difficult to replace, but I think we have found a talent, a player and a personality that very rapidly everybody is going to fall in love with.”
Arteta was right; Arsenal fans are in love with Tzolis and raved about him after their 3-0 win over Coventry City.

Christos Tzolis is everything Arsenal fans wanted Gabriel Martinelli to be
Tzolis is all about efficiency.
The Greek forward doesn’t seem to be interested in being flashy with skills and tricks. All he does is charge forward every time he gets the ball and make something happen in the final third.
Arsenal fans have been crying out for Gabriel Martinelli to do the same thing for years now, but for one reason or another, he just hasn’t been able to do it.
That is why the former Ituano man has been left out of the squad in each of Arsenal’s last two games, and all signs point towards him being sold.
