Fabrizio Romano shares what’s actually going on with Endrick amid Arsenal rumours

Fabrizio Romano shares what’s actually going on with Endrick amid Arsenal rumours

Arsenal have been linked with a late move for Endrick.

The Gunners are looking at multiple options to strengthen the attack following the impending departure of Gabriel Martinelli.

Christos Tzolis was brought in earlier in the summer in place of Leandro Trossard who left for Besiktas.

Mikel Arteta had wanted to bring in a superstar attacker, and after missing out on Vinicius Jr, the Gunners are still trying for Julian Alvarez.

However, David Ornstein’s latest update on Alvarez suggests a deal is unlikely to materialise at this stage, so Arsenal might have to look at cheaper, less flashy alternatives.

Many names have been mooted, but one of the more interesting ones is Real Madrid attacker Endrick.

However, Fabrizio Romano has made clear that a move to Arsenal won’t be happening this summer.

Fabrizio Romano pours cold water on Endrick to Arsenal rumours

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano outlined what’s really going on with Endrick.

“Today there were rumours in England — Arsenal making checks on Endrick, Arsenal asking about Endrick, Arsenal in conversations for Endrick. Fake news,” he said.

“Arsenal are not stupid. Arsenal know that Endrick is not on the market. But not today, not yesterday. It’s two weeks that Real Madrid decided that Endrick is not on the market.

“So Arsenal, who also share a very good relationship with the agents of Endrick and also with Real Madrid — the two clubs are in very good relationship, never had any sort of problem — Arsenal were never going to ask for a player who is not on the market.”

Some reports claimed Arsenal had made contact with Endrick, but Romano makes clear that that isn’t the case and the story was fabricated.

While the Brazilian is undoubtedly a talented lad, the fit at Arsenal doesn’t quite add up.

As a raw 20-year-old with limited experience playing as a left winger, it’s hard to envision a clear role for him in Arteta’s side.

Right now, the focus is all on trying to convince Alvarez to return to England, but it’s looking unlikely at this stage.

Whether Arsenal move for any alternatives remains to be seen. But at this point, it feels like it’s going to be either Alvarez or nothing.
