Theo Walcott predicts where Arsenal will finish in the Premier League this season

Theo Walcott knows Arsenal well enough to have an opinion worth listening to.

The former forward spent over a decade at the Emirates, scoring 108 goals in 397 games.

He also won two FA Cups, scoring a goal in the 2015 final against Aston Villa.

Walcott left to join Everton in 2018 and retired in 2023, but his affection for the club is still there.

On his TikTok, Walcott has predicted this season’s final Premier League table. He showed no hesitation where he thinks Arsenal will finish.

Indeed, Walcott is backing Arsenal to retain the league title — something they have not achieved since 1935.

He has clearly liked what he has seen so far from Arsenal, breezing past their main challengers Manchester City 3-0 for the Community Shield.

They’ve added quality, with Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis in particular slotting in seamlessly.

Ezri Konsa has now also joined, strengthening Mikel Arteta’s defensive depth. And the Gunners apparently aren’t done there — they want to sign another attacker.

Arsenal begin their Premier League title defence tonight against newly-promoted Coventry City, a game they enter as heavy favourites.

A good start will do wonders for their title hopes, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding the other top clubs.

As for Arsenal’s North London rivals, Walcott predicts Tottenham to finish tenth — a vast improvement on the 17th place position they have come to know so well.

But he has faith in his former teammate Arteta to lead Arsenal to back-to-back league titles.

They say that great teams win league titles. But only the very best retain them.
