Champions League supercomputer: PSG are FIFTH favourites for a third consecutive crown and Man United are given almost the same chance of winning as Real Madrid - but which of Arsenal and Man City top the list?

Two-time defending champions Paris Saint-Germain have been deemed fifth favourites to win this year's tournament, with a supercomputer viewing Arsenal as the team to beat.

PSG became just the second team after Real Madrid to go back-to-back in the tournament in the Champions League era when the French giants overcame Arsenal in May.

Luis Enrique's side overcame the Gunners in a penalty shoot-out in Budapest following a 1-1 draw.

Ahead of the league phase of this season's competition beginning on Tuesday, Opta's supercomputer has deemed PSG have just a 7.1 per cent chance of clinching a third successive title.

It follows PSG having endured their worst start to a season in 19 years after losing to Lens in the French Super Cup, as well as drawing against Rennes and Lille in Ligue 1 before a 2-1 loss to Monaco on the weekend.

PSG are ranked behind Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Man City and Barcelona in the supercomputers list of favourites.
