Ethan Nwaneri has two clubs to choose from as potential loan away from Arsenal remains open

Ethan Nwaneri will have been hoping to use this season to really cement himself in the Arsenal first-team.

The teenager is regarded by many as one of the next big talents in English football and after making his Premier League debut as a 15-year-old, there has been plenty of chat around him.

However, Nwaneri had a difficult spell with Marseille last season and there have been question marks over whether Mikel Arteta really fully trusts him.

Indeed, Nwaneri has been left out of the squad to face Aston Villa tonight and the reason for that could well be due to interest from others.

Ethan Nwaneri can pick between Dortmund and Fenerbahce

For many Arsenal fans, having Nwaneri in and around the squad this season and getting first-team minutes is important.

However, there seems to be something holding Mikel Arteta back from going all in on him.

Now, it feels like Nwaneri could be on the move.

According to reports, both Fenerbahce and Borussia Dortmund have made a move to sign Nwaneri on what would be a season-long loan deal.

It’s suggested that both clubs are open to striking a deal on Arsenal’s terms and in the end, it will come down to Nwaneri as to where he feels he’s best suited.

Of course, both teams are in the Champions League this season and Fenerbahce in particular have managed to build a strong side full of former Premier League players.

Arsenal, too, will have a say on where Nwaneri goes but it feels very much like this is a critical moment in his young career already.

Hopefully, wherever Nwaneri goes, he is successful and comes back to Arsenal as a player who can contribute.
