Jenna Nighswonger signs for Bay FC

Arsenal left-back Jenna Nighswonger has signed for NWSL side Bay FC for a fee of around £150,000 (fee reported by ESPN). Nighswonger joined the club from Gotham in January 2025 but immediately found minutes difficult to come by.

Jenna only played five games for Arsenal and spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Aston Villa, who had an option to buy included in the loan, but both parties decided not to pursue the deal.

The 25-year-old was given permission not to report for pre-season training at Colney and trained in the US while the finishing touches were put on the move to Bay, who are having a busy summer as they try to push up the table into the playoff positions.
